Sheriff Mascher- ‘I am extremely thankful to Findlay Subaru and Subaru of America for this donation. Our rescue teams provide an invaluable resource to this community and their efforts have saved lives. The Backcountry Unit is a team with a wide range of skills.  Currently, the team consists of Trackers, Hasty Searchers, Swiftwater Rescue Technicians, Technical Rope-Rescue Technicians, and Medical First Responders.  The Backcountry Unit also has eight Short-Haul Technicians who work alongside the crews of the Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Air Rescue Helicopters. The Backcountry Unit is commonly called as a rapid response unit in the initial stages of a search or rescue operation. See for more information on these incredible volunteers.
