Southern Unit
The Southern Unit contributes to the general force
strength. Volunteers help out wherever assistance is needed, working in
multiple
capacities as 4x4 drivers, spotters, trackers, foot searchers, dog
handlers and
assisting with field communications. You can access their website by clicking, here.
How can I participate?
There is always a need for trained and dedicated volunteers to participate in
search and rescue missions. Specific unit training is required in
addition to a 16 hour Basic Search & Rescue Academy given by the Sheriff's
Office.
How can I help?
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Response Team Inc. depends upon continuing
donations. Please consider making a contribution to the Response Team
when you support charitable organizations. As a non-profit organization,
your donations to YCSRT are deductible to the extent allowed by the tax code.
How is Search and Rescue Funded?
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Response Team does not receive funding from the
state of Arizona, Yavapai County or any other public agency. It relies solely
upon donations to meet expenses for training, operations, purchases,
maintenance, and replacement of important Search and Rescue equipment.
Search and Rescue is available to everyone.
It is through your support that we can be there for you, 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week!
