 MOBILE COMMAND POST HISTORY

(WEST)

During the year 2000, the Yavapai Sheriff's Mobile Command Post project was initiated by the Sheriff's Office and the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Volunteers, in order to provide for Incident Command and Communications and Field Logistics support needs of the county's various Law Enforcement and Emergency Service agencies.   The command and control requirements are associated with all emergency crisis situations,   including both human-initiated and natural disasters.

Utilizing a twenty eight foot motor home previously seized and approximately 2,000 donated hours by YCSO volunteers assisted by funds received from PANT drug seizure related monies and Federal and State grant funding,  the Mobile Command Post was introduced at no cost to the taxpayer of Yavapai County.
