4X4 Unit

The 4x4 unit searches roads, trails and maintains perimeters of search boundaries.  Drivers and observers assist in deploying and recovering ground searchers, trackers, and dog teams to and from assigned areas.  Off road vehicles may assist in area searches and all personnel can contribute to remote relay communications and ground searches, as needed.

How can I participate?

There is always a need for trained and dedicated volunteers to participate in search and rescue missions.  Specific unit training is required in addition to a 16-hour Basic Search and Rescue Academy given by the Sheriff's Office.

How can I help?

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Response Team Inc. depends upon continuing donations.   Please consider making a contribution to the Response Team when you support charitable organizations.  As a not-for-profit organization, your donations to YCSRT Inc. are deductible to the extent allowable by the tax code.
